Hello everybody! How are you all? I was just reading my aunt Suzy's blog and saw mine on her list. In that second i decided i would tell you whats going on. Here in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the Devonshire household everybody is doing good. Today we went to church and i played the piano in YW and I think I did alright. When we got home my Mom, my dog, Nala and I packed up a picnic lunch and walked over to the park in 80 degree weather. We had a great time....especially Nala. We had naps in the sun and walked around and ate some delicious PB and J's (thanks mommy!). Now we are home, all sweaty and gross and getting ready to go to Grandma's house for an amazing mothers day dinner.
I hope that all of you are doing good! Happy Mothers Day to my Mom, grandma, aunts and all the other wonderful, amazing moms out there. Without you I don't know what I would do. Love you all! :-)

Sunset Beach
Hello! Sorry once again but we are just so busy it's hard to find time to blog! Well Saturday we got up and got our booties out the door and to the beach because Brian was not aloud to swim past 12 o'clock. So we left to go to Sunset Beach. When we got there we walked all the way up one part of the beach and there was NOBODY there! I guess it was kinda early but boy was it pretty! So we walked up this part of the beach (walking on sand gets your legs really tired) and found the most perfect place to set up camp! It was a perfect palm tree with shade and you were close to the ocean. So we started to throw the frisbee around then the Kim's (another family on the team) walked up. So we pretty much spent half of the day at the most beautiful beach with friends. Somewhere in the middle of out time there my dad, Brian, josh and I decided to go snorkeling out past the waves. It was alright. I saw some rainbow colored fish but the water was sort of murky and it was hard to see than just a few feet ahead. Oh well, that was still fun! So after the snorkeling Brian and I kept our masks and snorkels on and we sat down in the surf and let it carry us all the way up the beach then all the way back down. That was really fun! It was like body surfing but more lazy and not as hard core. After it all we went and bought a cold coconut! These people set up a cool little shop and they would make a hole for your straw so you could get the milk out, then if you took it back they would break it open and get the meat out. It was not as good as i thought it would be but it was still fun to get something like that! We had a lot of fun that day!

Pounded at Pounders
Ahola! This is a little late but i thought i would still share. Last Friday we went to Laie Beach Park... also known as 'Pounders Beach'. Yes, we got pounded...bad. As usual my dad and I went and found something fun to do for the day while Brian was at practice. That's when we found Pounders. It was a beautiful beach and was great for boogie boarding, body surfing and just floating over the waves. I was a little scared at first, the waves were really big, but finally my dad coaxed me in and once I got in it was really fun. It was about high tide when we were there and we were planning on going to pick up Brian and go eat some lunch then come back around and hopefully the tide would be down a little bit...but no. When we got back there around 3 o'clock the waves were bigger and more scary. I think we all got a good taste of the waves and got some nasty looking souvenirs...scrapes, bruises and tweaks. It was really fun. My dad and I got smashed really bad one time. We were out pretty far and there was an early crasher. We were standing in water that was about up to my knees where it was usually up to my head and there was a wave above us that was about 7 feet high. My dad got through alright but the wave washed me all the way back to shore. Oh well, it was really fun and we had a great time. After we went to shower and Brian found a little friend, Steve the baby Gecko. They became good friends until Brian dropped him. Now he is back in his home happy as ever!

Shark Cove
Hello from Hawaii! Yesterday we went to Shark Cove to go snorkeling. It was SO fun! The water was so clear and all the fish had amazing colors. We saw the Humuhumunukunukuapuapaa (state fish) and he looked really cool. He had lots of neon yellows and oranges. We also saw our first sea turtle on out first snorkeling adventure! All of the fish were just amazing. My favorite was a hot pink medium sized fish with bright green and yellow stripes all over it. Another favorite of mine and Brian's was a sea snake. He was white and brown striped and about 1 and a half feet long. The whole experience was wonderful and WAY fun and I can't wait to do it again!
Brian and I after we got out the first time. Just showing how clear the water is!

The First Day
Hey Everybody! So today we got in Honolulu at about 11:20 a.m. The flight was wonderful and we had a lot of fun. So, first we got out rental car and went right to Costco. Thank goodness we had our GPS or we would have been so lost! After that we drove around some more then finally got to go check in to our hotel. A little later Brian went over and met with his friends. When he was gone my dad and i went over to the pool and he taught me how to use our snorkels. That was way fun but really hard at first. When we were done messing around we went over to the beach and played a little there. After we went back to the pool and swam a little more. Now we are back at the hotel room making some dinner. Such a good day. . .:-)
